What Personal Information Does Moments With The Book Share?

The only information that we share with any other individuals or organizations is that which is necessary to fulfill the requests that you have made. For example: we share your address with our shippers to facilitate delivery of any mailings that you have requested or any items that you have ordered. If you provide your credit card information as payment for an order, we transmit that information to our bank for processing. Outside of the instances where your information must be provided for fulfilling your requests, we do not share, sell, lease, or give any of your personal information to any individuals or organizations.

How Secure is My Information?

Our website's ecommerce system uses SSL encryption to protect the transmission of your credit card and other personal information when you place an order online. Other parts of our site that ask for your name and/or e-mail address do not use this encryption. Once your information is transferred to our in-house computer system, it is protected against unauthorized use using various safeguards. We do not maintain a record of your credit card information on our website, and all such information is purged from our servers regularly. Once your order has been processed, your credit card information is also deleted from our in-house computer system. If you provide your credit card information on an order form that you mail or fax to us, it is shredded after your order has been processed.

Mailing Lists

We do two types of mailings: physical and through e-mail. The only way to be placed on an e-mail mailing list is if you submit and verify your e-mail address and specifically request to be added to a mailing list. We add people to our physical mailing list in several ways, including: 1) People who place an order with us will be placed on our mailing list unless they specifically request otherwise. 2) People who receive a "sample mailing" and then follow through with the address verification process are also added to our list. It is not our intent to send mailings (either physical or by e-mail) to those who do not want to receive them, and will promptly remove anyone who requests to be removed. Each e-mail that we send contains a link for easily unsubscribing from further e-mails.

Information From Children

We request that all children only use our website with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 18 and would like to receive communication from us through the mail or by e-mail, we ask that you have a parent or legal guardian request that information on your behalf. If we knowingly receive a request from a minor or on behalf of a minor without verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, that request will not be fulfilled.

Links to Other Sites

The Moments With The Book website provides links to other sites that have either been approved as recommended resources, or contain software programs (such as RealPlayer and Adobe Acrobat) that are needed to use files provided on our site. In either case, the collection and use of any infomation you provide while visiting those sites will be governed by the policies of the owners of those sites.

We may update this policy from time to time to include references to new parts of our website or to reflect changes to our ministry, but we will never make changes to this policy that allow us to use previously-collected information in any way contrary to the policy that was in effect when the information was collected.
