No other event in the history of mankind has been foretold with such accuracy as the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven to earth. Over 300 prophecies of Christ can be found in the Bible which were made hundreds of years before their fulfillment in His birth, life, death, resurrection, ascension and present intercessory work. The odds against these numerous, precise, detailed prophecies about Jesus coming to pass is greater than the number 2 followed by 90 zeros! But they did! Every single prophecy came to pass.
To see the Word of God fulfilled to the very letter is convincing proof of the divine Authorship and inspiration of the Holy Scriptures (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21). These Old Testament prophecies and their fulfillment recorded in the New Testament have been written that we "might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name" (John 20:31). "Believest thou the prophets?" (Acts 26:27).
