Our Saviour Christ Will Come!

World chaos reigns! Bold lawlessness runs faster!
And Earth's dark night with deeper darkness grows!
In many lands unparalleled disaster—
Wars, famines, earthquakes, floods—
   'Mongst many woes.

The darkness deepens!—yes, but Dawn is nearer!
The Lord from Heaven may soon be on His way.
The "Blessed Hope" in these dark days grows dearer,
Our Saviour Christ will come—
   "Perhaps Today"!

Prayer and Fasting

Faith needs prayer in order to grow strong. It needs fasting for full development. If you want power to remove mountains, our Lord said in Matthew 17:21 that you must combine prayer with fasting.

Prayer is the hand with which we grasp the invisible; fasting is the hand with which we relinquish our hold upon the visible. Prayer is the hand on God; fasting is the hand on self.
