Jerusalem in Prophecy

Prophetic Scripture outlines a brilliant future for Jerusalem. During the millennium it is to be the capital of the earth, (Isa. 60:1-22; Zech. 14:1-20; Ezek. chaps. 40-48). The Second Coming of Christ will eventuate in the destruction of Israel's enemies, the judgment of the nations, the deliverance of the Israelite remnant and the establishment of the Kingdom. But before that great event Israel will go through the time of the Great Tribulation (Jer. 30:7) under the terrible rule of the Antichrist. Only as the remnant looks upon Him Whom they have pierced will they be converted (Zech. 12:10-13:1) and at last recite the penitential strains of Isaiah 53.

Without A City Wall

There is a green hill far away,
Without a city wall,
Where God's dear Son was crucified,
He hung and suffered there.

We may not know, we cannot tell,
What pains He had to bear;
But we believe it was for us
He hung and suffered there.

He died that we might be forgiven,
He died to do us good,
That we might go at last to heaven,
Saved by His precious blood.

"And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all." (Acts 4:33).

It was not money power, for Peter said, "Silver and gold have I none"; it was not intellectual power, for the apostles were "unlearned and ignorant men"; it was not the power of great buildings, for the work at Pentecost began "in an upper room" and was consummated in the open-air, and it was not numerical power, for the number of those who believed in Jesus was only "about one hundred and twenty." It was the power of the Holy Ghost and prayer.
