Every believer should be acquainted with the Bible as a whole, and this can only be done by reading it from cover to cover. Nothing can compensate for the lack of an all-round knowledge of the Word of God. Genius has been aptly described as "an infinite capacity for taking pains." One thing is certain, no one will ever become an approved workman for God who does not apply himself persistently and sedulously to the study of the Scriptures.
