"Set your mind on things above" (Col 3:2). "To behold the beauty of the Lord" (Psalm 27:14).

The Lord has made these two verses precious to me over the last month. First, how we need to be thinking about eternal things, about things above, about Christ Himself. Then as we think about Him, to behold His beauty! How beautiful He is—the glorified Christ!

I was reading last Lord's Day of the glories of Christ. The last glory that was mentioned was that of Christ glorified in repentant sinners. The article said that it cost Christ only a word to create the world—"Let there be light." But to redeem a sinner, it cost Him everything! That really struck me. "Oh what a gift the Father gave.
