God Keeps a Faithful Record

And I saw the dead small and great, stand before God, and the books were opened: and another book was opened; which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:12,15).

Worldliness

Worldliness is a canker that eats out joy, peace, power—worse almost than gross evil, because more insidious. "Love not the world," "Be not conformed to this world." Christ and the world cannot fill the same heart. Be occupied with Him, and you will be satisfied to say,

"O worldly pomp and glory,
Your charms are spread in vain;
I've heard a sweeter story,
I've found a truer gain."
