Did You Ever Analyze This Great Statement?
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6).
His Name Shall Be Called . . . Who?
Wonderful . . . This child to be born, this son to be given.
Counsellor . . . This child to be born, this son to be given.
The Mighty God . . . This child to be born, this son to be given.
The Prince of Peace . . . This child to be born, this son to be given.
The everlasting Father . . . This child to be born, this son to be given.
Can anyone deny that the Bible plainly teaches that Jesus Christ was this promised child who was born, and that He is God? The language of this verse is so simple and clear it cannot be misunderstood, the Godhead is a trinity.
Nevertheless
Modern Judaism says "No."
Modernism (now leavening all denominations) says "No."
Jehovah's Witnesses say "No."
Mormonism says "No."
Unitarianism says "No."
Unity says "No."
Christian Science says "No."
There are yet others who say "No."
But God Says "Yes."
The verse above is one of many scriptures that declare dogmatically and unequivocally that Jesus Christ was God incarnate. Do not be misled. God has forewarned:
"For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist" (2 John 7).
