Americans have been conducting an experiment in family life. Results coming in clearly show this is the first generation in the nation's history to do worse psychologically, socially and economically than its parents.

Children in single-parent families are two to three times as likely as children in two-parent families to have emotional and behavioral problems. They are also more likely to drop out of high school, to get pregnant as teenagers, to abuse drugs, and to be in trouble with the law….

It's time to stop kidding ourselves. The experiment of no-fault divorce has failed. New forms of "family" are not working. It's time for parents…to own up to the failure and get on with the rewarding business of preserving our marriages and caring for our children.
