Have you ever looked into the heart of a rose? Have you seen it unfold into rich, warm colors almost before your eyes? What a wondrous sight fashioned by the divine creator! But wonder of wonders was the love of God, when He unfolded His plan to save fallen man. What beauty and fragrance are seen in the love of God that drew salvation's plan, and in the grace that brought it down to man. "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation [satisfying sacrifice] for our sins" (1 John 4:10).

When God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into this sinful world, He was cruelly crucified by those He came to save. Yet in the very blood Jesus shed on Calvary's cross the rivers of God's love have flowed to all men, to you and to me. Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? (Revelation 1:5). Through "faith in His blood" (Romans 3:25) a sinner is "justified" (Romans 5:9), and brought to "peace" with his creator-God (Colossians 1:20).

As simple and beautiful as looking into the heart of a rose is this pure message of God's love, unfolded to us in the written Word of God and revealed to our hearts by faith. God said it! We can believe it! "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31).
